Weapons of Destruction Level Requirement Change
Fellow Tibians,
as of February 05, we will raise the level requirement for all "of Destruction" weapons from 100 to 200 in order to address the current disproportion between the weapons' stats and the required character level to properly use them.
Players who have yet to reach the new level requirement should check if there are still imbuements left on their weapon(s) and make good use of them before the changes set in.
See you all in Tibia!
Bugfixes and Content Changes
With today's server save, we have released a new client version. Among others, we changed the following:
- The boss Grand Master Oberon is accessible again.
- We have temporarily disabled the Frame Rate Limit slider for the Mac client.
- The loot table of the crazed winter vanguard was slightly adjusted.
- Tibians can no longer be turned into snowmen while standing in a protection zone.
- Removed the protection zone block check from several portals and teleports that got implemented with the last winter update.

Upcoming New Store Products
Next week, we will introduce a new product called Hireling to the Store.
The Hireling is a servant that can be placed in your house. In its apprentice state, the Hireling offers the inhabitants and visitors of the house a basic selection of home decor items as well as all exercise weapons for purchase.
Every house owner can place up to 10 Hireling Apprentices in his house, each at the price of 150 Tibia Coins. The name and gender of the Hireling can be determined at the time of purchase. Similar to your character, you can purchase an extra service in the Store in case you want to change your Hireling's name or sex afterwards. The Tibia Rules for names apply for Hireling names as well. However, Hireling names are not unique which means that the same name can be assigned to different Hirelings.
A Hireling Apprentice can be trained with additional skills which add more functionality to the Hireling. Those skills will be available in the Store and automatically apply to all purchased Hirelings:
Banker Skill: For 250 Tibia Coins you can give your Hirelings the abilities of a regular banker (deposit, withdraw, transfer).
Cooking Skill: For 900 Tibia Coins you can give your Hirelings the ability to cook random buff food for a fee.
Steward Skill: For 250 Tibia Coins your Hirelings give characters access to their Supply Stash.
Trader Skill: For 250 Tibia Coins you can give your Hirelings the abilities of a regular trader and post clerk (buying and selling standard goods such as runes, potions or tools).
While the banker, steward and trader skill are quite self-explanatory, we have prepared additional information on the cooking skill in the comment section.
In case you are not satisfied with the visual appearance of your Hireling, you should take a look at the Hireling Dresses section in the Store. Besides matching outfits for each skill, there will be special outfits that will allow you to turn your Hireling into a ferumbras, a bonelord, a dragon or a hydra.
Just like character outfits, the outfits are purely cosmetic and do not bestow any benefits.
Have fun, Your Community Managers
Statement on Recently Reported Abuse Scenarios
Attention, fellow Tibians,
over the weekend, we have received an increasing number of reports from our players who signalled an ongoing abuse scenario concerning the loot distribution of different bosses. As a first countermeasure the access to the boss room of the Grandmaster Oberon was deactivated on Saturday, January 05.
Initial investigations and further in-depth analyses, however, could not substantiate the reports about an increase in falcon item drops or other rare items from various bosses that distribute their loot based on a participation system. Diagram Falcon Items demonstrates the amount of falcon item drops over the last few weeks, which are evenly distributed and indicate no alarming increase of drops.
An exception is the Percht Queen from the Winterlight Solstice Event. Diagram Tokens & Soul Stones shows an increase of gold and silver tokens since the beginning of the event. We deeply regret the problems resulting from this. We have removed the tokens from the Percht Queen's loot on Saturday, which stabilised the daily distribution to its usual rate.
Over the last few days, many questions came up concerning a potential reset: In order to revert the increased distribution of such tokens, a reset of all game worlds back to 22 December 2018 would be required, which we do not consider feasible.
Going forward, we will refrain from adding items that are primarily aiming at mid-high level players to events that are accessible by players of all level ranges. For now, the current issues concerning silver and gold tokens have been addressed. In the long run, we will try to provide a technical solution to fix the current design weakness in the distribution system.
See you in Tibia, Your Community Managers
New mounts have been added to the Store today!
When the nights are getting longer and freezing wind brings driving snow into the land, snowmen rise and shine on every corner.
Lately, peaceful, arcane creatures have found shelter in some of them and used their magical power to call the Caped Snowman, the Muffled Snowman and the Festive Snowman into being. Wrap yourself up well and warmly and jump on the back of your new frosty companion.
Once bought, your character can use the mount ingame anytime, no matter if you are a free account or a premium account.
Get yourself an icecold companion!
