Hiya!

It's the time to organise another funny contest on FunTibia! It's quite simple but should bring a lot of fun to our website :)

Everyday, between 26.10 and 1.11, we will publish one simple question - 7 days, 7 questions in total. Your task will be to answer our questions in a funny, hilarious or even silly way - just to make us laugh. FanTibia staff and fansite admins will grade each answer with 1-5 points. 10 users who has the most points after 7 days will be the announced and their answers will be sent to CipSoft for final decision concerning winners.

Rules:

• Only one answer per question allowed
  
• No multi accounts allowed
  
• Answers must obey Tibia and FunTibia rules
  
• We will open a new thread for questions and all questions will be published around 20:00 CEST
  
• Once we ask a new question, you may not answer previous questions
  
• Only English answers allowed

Answer: "Why don't we have a toilet in Tibia?"
Because Tibian characters do not have any sexual organs and characters are created virtualy. What is more Tibians do not have time to pee as they have to level up quickly.

what is this "jury 1, jury 2, jury 3.. etc"? u gonna sum the 5 jury's points for each answer and then divide it for 5 to get an avarage point? its how it works?

and about the questions 2,3,4... u gonna rate then after the event is over? cause there is just the question 1 totally rated

I think some of jurys will rate them after the contest cuz some of them are busy with other contest which is ending soon :P

Because we (sorcerers) locked it in a small box, and now we are able to cast the Ultimate Spell "Rage of the Skies" whenever cooldown lets us. Beware sun! ;D

Your sentence is a bit complicated :P Also it's better to write an easier sentence so everybody can understand it. I will correct it, but remember that for the future :)

Not to mention my answers, that I always tried to write in a non obvious way. Some people are repeating the same joke of the 1st answer and getting better grades.

1st answer: Because programmers don't leave office and never saw sky
2nd answer: Because programmers never see fire
3rd answer: Because programmer never saw cats in real life and dunno their habits

Some answers can be funny but dont is answering what we had asked.

Some answers that is out of context is receiving 1~2 points.

And the "evaluation criterion" is different between the judges

Many answers are not funny, but people respond to what is asked and there are also some creative responses which causes that person to gain more points than others.

Answers that are funny receive 4~5 points.
If the answer is funny, it does not need to be creative.

Another problem is only one person received maximum point and i had seen answers of the same level.
I'm watching and i'm really confused with the evaluation.

look carefully to the answers of other participants,the judgment is inconsistent with the criteria "this is the point".
For the few, the judgment is good and for many,the judgment is poor.

Btw, I agree with your last sentence, Reaper; so far I also tried to make different answers that (almost) nobody else would think of, even taking care of writing them as properly as I could, but it seems it's not what they are looking for :P.

That's what I thought when I answered the question about cat habits in tibia. I would post something about shower and smell, but 2-3 people have already made that joke so I decided to make a joke about the myth about how many lives a cat have in RL, in my country a cat 'has' 7 lives like in mexico, but at the rest of the world it seems that cat has 9 so I decided to post 9. Just me and a guy made this kind of joke with cat's life and I posted 2 pages before him. (dunno his grade btw)
Judge 1 gave me 3 points, but judge 2 gave me 2 :P
The same points of the SUPER FUNNY ANSWER stated above :P

Hello! I'm here again to take some questions:

First: I understood the terms creative,smart and funny but I see some problems in the judgment, if the jury is made composed by people with an average of 20 years, have the same knowledge as to judge a answer of a people with an average 35 years?
The knowledge are different, with this, wich can be funny for some and isn't funny for others by not knowing.
Rules should be more specific, perhaps using the current things, because the SpongBob is more funnier then the Pink Panther!
"Don't worry all answers will be check after the contest".
Think about this!

Second: How to know if people who don't edited there profile, are not fake?
Example: I have 3 emails , 3 tibia account with newbie chars and 3 account here.

If you see, not all answers have the same pontuation, it changes from jury to jury. Each jury have his criterion.

You can have 1 billion accounts, if you got in the top 3 and we see that for example, top 1 and top 2 is the same owner, both of them will be disqualified.

Everyday have accounts being created, and of course we know that there are people with more than one account.

If you want to know what is funny to everyone(the juries), you can see the answers and their scores. So you can imagine what is funny to us and what is not.

My answer: It's an old wisdom developed by the women of Carlin. They taught the world how to fit millions of things into one small purse, just like women do in real-life.

First of all, the answer after mine was just an elaboration of my idea, which was the first to contain the idea of comparing it to a woman's purse (and those elaborations were made several times after me). I guess it should for something, because it's very easy to steal jokes from other people.

Second, how the hell can the second answer be funnier than mine?

I really see no standard here.

@up: everyone has different sense of humour here.

I wrote most of my replies in a paper while I was offline so I didn't read the thread itself to answer the questions.

If what I wrote was mentioned already, it wasnt my intention to fake it or do something out of it because I didn't have time to check and read the thread 24/7 like some of you did.

You really need to see some sky here, judges are doing their job with THEIR sense of humour, don't blame them for not giving you the points you wished to have because as I said, everyone is a different person, and you cant expect 2 different people think the same or have the same sense of humour.

I don't care if I win or not, I just know I did my best to answer the questions and I'm happy with that. But this crying about a 100% SUBJECTIVE contest that's solely based on 4 people's sense of humour is way too much.

So take some air, jury will do their job. And congratulations in advance to the winners.

I do care if I win or not. If I didn't I would participate.

I think that repeated answers should get lower points, simply because a joke you've heard for the second or third time on the same page can't be as funny as the first time, unless it adds a lot more to the same context.

For example, another guy used the same "women's purse" idea, but elaborated talking about Mirade, Chayenne and Rejana. I agree his answer was funnier than mine, but not the guy I mentioned on my last post.

Also, someone mentioned that "...it's better to write an easier sentence so everybody can understand it...".I've seen many examples of complicated answers scoring 3 points, while mine scored 2, which was the amount of points described as to answers out of context or that does not reply the question at all.

Just to clarify everything from MY part, I was the first one after you to mention woman in my answer, but I can guarantee you that I didn't read your answer before starting writing mine, cuz if I read it, I'd probably post something different. If you want to take a look at my answers you'll see that I always avoided to post a joke that someone have already did.
Kariel Win, have already said that you don't need to change your joke, just because someone have already made it. Maybe judges preffered another jokes instead of yours :/

It wouldn't change anything if there would be 2 more jurys. The criteria aren't same, because people are not same. What would be the world with people who have same characters? Every jury tried and rated the answers so good as they were.

We didn't plan on having 5 jury. I told Kariel to edit all posts and add "Jury 1, Jury 2, Jury 3". He added Jury 1...Jury 5.

No one could edit answers because I switched that option off.

Remember, we are not going to choose the winners - CipSoft will do it.

I agree that if there were more jury to vote then the results COULD change. Everyone prefers something different thats why another jury could vote differently. Even now, with 3 jury, sometimes votes were completely different between us (e.g. Kariel and Izeron rated 2 points and I gave 4 points). But there are no other jury so the votes cannot change. It's up to CMs now who will win.
