Thread subject: FunTibia - Have fun with us! :: Creating with matches - WINNERS!

Hello hello!
We have another very nice and simple contest with awesome prizes for you... as simple as a match! However, match - thin wooden strip used to set fire, NOT football game.
To avoid confusion
ENG: a match
PL: zapałka
GER: streichholz
ESP: cerillos / fosforos
POR: fósforo
You wonder what you task is, right? You have to build or create something related to Tibia with matches. It's not only limited to castles... Use your imagination and make your own constructions, build cities, create monsters or weapons. If you are not skilled in construction then you can create images, pictures or maps using matches.
Rules:
- You may submit as many works as you want
- You have to submit your works by the end of this year
- You may use only matches and glue (no additional decorating items). However, if your matches have, e.g. green heads, you may use them as grass
- You may break matches and use their parts, not only full-size matches
- When you create your submission, take a picture of that and post here
- You may use different types and sizes of matches (as long as they are not coloured)
- You may put some kind of paper or pad under your structure.
- You have to post additional pictures of at least 2 stages in the construction of your work. So basically, when you will be building something, please take picture 2 times to show how you were building it.
- On each picture, you have to put a paper with "FunTibia.com! Have fun with us!" next to this what you have build/created.
- You may add some fire effects but please be careful with that ;)
- If there are any changes in the rules, we will announce it in this thread
Awesome prizes:
1. one of these: bronze necklace
/ teddy
/ yellow rose
+ golden trophy of excelence
2. one of the remaining items + silver trophy of excelence
3. the remaining item + bronze trophy of excelence
Example of match construction:
Have fun!

I would like to participate this time, but i dont really get the idea, what do you mean by match, i am from Argentina and dont got a clue about what this means: "ESP: cerilla" xD
Do we need to create something in real life, using paper, pieces of wood, stones etc related with Tibia and then take a picture about it and upload it here to present it as an entry?
Thanks in Advance,
Maxoon.

Can we use something else to give volume? like baloons or clay. With only matches it would be kinda expensive to make a decent work.

Maxoon, I just realised I put wrong word. Does "fosforos / cerillos" sound familiar?
or... how its called in Spanish?
lekiro, only matches are allowed, sorry :p

Please read carefully the rules and you will know that it ends on the last day of this year.
You may use only matches, no additional items. One exception is a paper or pad that you put under your structure.
PS You may add some fire effects but please be careful with that ;)

If we can use different colour matches that means we can paint the structure too I guess.
And I will use headless matches, cuz they were cheaper than normal match boxes (and comes in large packs). I hope that's ok, they are still 'matches' afterall.

The contest looks interesting but too complicated.. xd
and.. Roman; wot u mean by: you may add some fire effects? o.o ar u talkin about "real fire" to be implemented inside of a "real place"? o.o
Wish ya a nice Merry Christmas and good luck for all the participants!! Have fun!!

Ah hahaha, i started to make some work, but later on i realized what did this "cerillos" means and my idea was totally wrong. And yes, in Argentina it's called fosforos.
Let's hope my hand skill allow me to submit a decent entry.
Maxoon.

Elais, don't worry about fire effects xD
Fire effects are not compulsory and you can add them, for example if you want to create a stuffed dragon with real fire :p but please..... be careful!
the contest on its own should not be complicated because all you have to do it to build something with matches.

Ive got a question...
I can use only a pad as a base of my building (under it) or i can for example use the match boxes to make a castle and over it put the matches?
In the pic you posted to show us what we have to do, did u use a pad under ur mill or used paper under the matches u putted in the mill?

I bought a pack similar to these (which is way cheaper than buying tons of kitchen match boxes):
I suppose that the important thing is the stick, not if it has powder head. In the rules says we can cut the sticks and use diferent sizes anyway.
Since there are also coloured headless matches, it shouldnt be against the rules to paint them. Same would go for coloured glue. It doesnt say which kind of glue to use either, so I suppose we are free to choose what we think is best and easier for our hands.
The point is to build something with those tiny sticks. I doubt the intention of this contest is to force us to use certain items of certain brand or specific glue. Some mod correct me if I'm wrong.

@xrafahx
no, you may not colour them with paint
@_carola_
You can use only pad under your construction. To support your structure, you have to use matches :p
@Dnacron
Yes, paper only UNDER construction. I don't mind what glue you use, but make sure you do not alter the natural colour of matches.
@lekiro
Thank you for bringing that point. I do not mind if you use headless matches and coloured glue, but coloured matches are not allowed - only the normal, brown ones.

Ok so after a few days of hard work I have created one of my favorite shields. The Rose Shield, which was rewarded to a few on Antica for having the oldest guild. I have always looked at this shield and thought it would be greatest decoration item you could own. I hope that everyone will enjoy this as much as I have, and I look forward to seeing others creations too.

It was a bit hard and although my bat deco doesn't look like the bat deco in the game; I liked the new experience with handicrafts and the matches! lol
Good luck to all the participants! ;)

Is there a maximum amount of pictures during the process we can post? I took quite a few (some with and without the paper) because the boat is so big... I think its around 24 inches long about xP! As soon as I find out how many I can post I'll put up pictures :)
