Can't jump because otherwise noobs would jump from buildings to suicide until rook cuz they died and lost their plate legs.
Can't sit because characters compensate the time we are sitting at our chairs playing that's why they stay stand.

Sit , because the creators of tibia, never leave their computer, for this motive , they never go to the bathroom, so then forgot to add that option in the tibia. Jumping , because, the creators of the tibia, never go to the bathroom, and take hold enough to want to go, jump, would turn a difficult situation for them.They not add this function in the tibia, because just the thought of jumping, would be bad for them.

Cip member are all sedentary: they never make exercise, so they never jump. That's why they thought this isn't important to implement in the game.
By the opposite, Cip members pass all the day long sitted on a chair. That would be unpleasant to them to see his character sitted too.

A: We can't sit because all our butts were burned once when running away from dragons and we can't jump because we can already teleport and the programmers are very lazy to make jumping possible!

We can not sit and jump because when programmers began working there do not exist sit and jump and they never left the CipSoft.

Because programmers of Cip didn't know protect the treasure rooms, so it was easier the chars can't jump.
And sit .... imagine going to hunt a boss and don't have respaw, you sit there and boss appears and you say:
-Wait, I need to get up.
YOU DIED FOR THE BOSS WHEN YOU WAS SITTING
