During May and the first weeks of June, we were targeted by massive DDoS attacks which led to significant connection issues such as mass kicks, lag and login problems. Together with our service provider, we were working hard to mitigate the impact of these attacks as swiftly as possible. Unfortunately, though, resolving these problems took longer than we had hoped for.
We are aware that the negative effects of these attacks on your gameplay experience caused you frustration and disappointment. We regret that you had to put up with these issues over such an extended period of time and will offer the following compensation to help you recover your losses.
Compensation
Premium and Free Accounts
All players who logged into the game after May 1, 2015, 00:00 CEST, and before June 24, 2015, 17:00 CEST, will receive a double XP/skill voucher of 3 days. This voucher will be valid for one year from the date of issue (not the date of activation). This means that you will not be able to use this voucher anymore after its expiry date. This includes activated vouchers that have not been used up completely until then.
Premium Accounts
We conducted a thorough data analysis to identify premium players that were affected by the negative effects of the recent DDoS attacks. These players will be compensated individually depending on how much they were impacted:
Besides the aforementioned double XP/skill voucher of 3 days, they will receive an additional double XP/skill voucher. On top of that they will receive a third voucher which can either be a Premium Time voucher or yet another double XP/skill voucher - the choice is up to the player! We would like to point out again that the duration of these vouchers depends on the extent to which a player was affected according to our analysis.
Please note that this compensation has not been issued yet. We will hand out thecompensation in the course of July. As soon as we can provide a concrete date, we will let you know.
Please also read the general adjustments of double XP/skill vouchers below since these changes will also apply to the aforementioned compensation.
General Adjustments of Double XP/Skill Vouchers
Vouchers that were handed out as premium compensation for the connection problems back in 2013 included a slider bar to extend the duration of the double XP/skill voucher by trading in compensated premium days. If you still have such a voucher and do not activate it until August 01, 2015, 00:00 CEST, the voucher will automatically be converted into a double XP/skill voucher. This means that it will not be possible anymore to choose between double XP/skill and Premium Time.
Moreover, with the release of the aforementioned compensation for the connection problems in May/June 2015, all double XP/skill vouchers will be adjusted as follows due to the player feedback we have received on this matter:

All double XP/skill vouchers will receive an expiry date. Double XP/skill vouchers that have been handed out so far will be set to expire on August 01, 2017, 00:00 CEST, which means that you will not be able to use these vouchers anymore after this date. This includes activated vouchers that have not been used up completely until then.
Double XP/Skill vouchers will no longer stack with each other. This means you can only use one at a time.
You will be able to pause double XP/skill vouchers via your account management page. Once activated, a voucher is active for at least 24 hours. Here is an example to illustrate how it works: You have a double XP/skill voucher of 3 days. You activate the voucher at 10:00 CEST on August 2, 2015, and pause it a few minutes later. Double XP/skill will be active for your account until 10:00 CEST on August 3, 2015, and one full day will be deducted from your voucher. So you still have a double XP/skill voucher of 2 days left.
If you do not pause a voucher, it will run until it has been used up completely. Please also note that if you have not spent a voucher completely before its expiry date, its remaining days of double XP/skill cannot be used anymore after this date.
As mentioned, these changes will be released together with the compensation in the course of July.
