Can you feel the frozen wind coming from the sea? Do you feel the coldness spreading across the country?
Those sudden drops in temperature are harbringers of the percht queen's awakening! Her frozen kingdom is a stronghold of neverending winter! Protected by perchts and schiachs, she rules the snowcovered island with an iron fist.
It is said that no known material can resist the perishing cold that origins from her chambers. Even the bravest adventurers, who tried to rush into her throne room so far, congealed on their way and were shattered into thousand pieces by her merciless servants.
As of server save on December 22, a boat, which ferries over to the frozen realm, will be at anchor near Svargrond's harbour. Once you have set foot on the island, you should talk to Frosty. The friendly snowman will tell you more about the icy place and its shaggy inhabitants.
The actual implementation of the Winterlight Solstice event varies in two points from the initially presented version of the teaser: There is no difference whether more perchts or schiachts were killed, which means that all new items can be found in the loot of the monsters and their queen during the entire event. Furthermore, there is only one type of schiacht and one type of percht. Their strength has been drastically reduced and is now comparable to hydras or deepling spellsingers in order to allow also lower level players to enjoy the event to its full extend.
Between the server saves of January 07 and January 10, Tibia's birthday will be celebrated. During this time you can visit Nostalgia Island again where you can hunt monsters with the old monster sprites, dig for treasures or knock down cans. The pinata dragons will also be spawning everywhere.
At the end of the event (server save on January 10) all game worlds will receive a whole week of increased respawn rates (x2) while mana & health points regenerate twice as fast.

Extended Double XP and Skill Event Fellow Tibians,
some of you have already noticed the date in the new event calendar, now it is time for the official announcement: Another exciting year is coming to an end and, we would like to celebrate it with a special event.
2019 will bring new, thrilling quests, monsters and competitions that will test your character's strength and endurance. There is no time to rest, evil lurks around every corner! Use the extra bonus during the extended event to prepare your character for the upcoming challenges!
Between the server saves of December 21 and December 27, all monsters will yield twice the usual amount of experience points, and your skill training, including magic level, will advance twice as fast. The skill progress when training offline will also be doubled.

The winter update has now been released and brings many new challenges to Tibia.
Become part of an ancient elfish conflict between the summer and winter court and enter the magical realm of dreams . Once united, the world of these wondrous dream elves was defiled and divided by envy and strife. Face invading, nightmarish creatures and use all your strength to prevent the nightmare from coming true.
However, not only the elfish dream world is getting invaded by spooky, creepy monsters. Supernatural creatures are also wreaking havoc in several ancient ruins scattered around Tibia. True horror and challenging puzzles are waiting for ambitious ghostbusters. Can you solve them all and gain access to the spectres' buried shelter?
Do not forget to take a trip into the jungle of Tiquanda in order to provide your services to a grumpy, greedy dwarf. This charmless little fellow might be the only one who can shine some light on the story behind the broken compass.
Furthermore, a new, annual returning, questline called Winterlight Solstice has been implemented. The quest will be accessible as of December 22, a dedicated news with more information and final details will follow soon.
The Cyclopedia received a new feature, which provides a detailed overview on your character stats as well as the combat stats of your equipped gear. Besides that, the Character Information can be used to look up and sort your character's achievements and to display your recent deaths and PvP kills in the client.
New quality of life features have found their way into the client as well. Many items are now stackable and can therefore be stowed in the Supply Stash. The new trader filter option in the stash allows you to list only stowed items that are being purchased by the selected NPC.
Furthermore, items are now highlighted with a coloured frame, which allows to identify the approximate value of the item at a glance. The frames can be changed to smaller corners or completely disabled in the Interface options.
From now on, upon each server save, a randomly selected Prey creature will be boosted: A boosted creature yields double XP, double loot and has its respawn rate increased by 2x till the next server save. The currently boosted creature is displayed in the login screen of your client and has replaced the Monster of the Week on our website.
There is a new imbuement called Vibrancy that can remove existing paralyse effects with a certain chance whenever a paralyse attack is launched at the wearer of the imbuement. In addition, the cooldown of the paralyse rune was raised to six seconds. Due to raised concerns, we have removed a reflection component from the imbuement.
There are some changes that were not explicitly announced in previous teasers and were also not available during our test servers:
A brand-new event calendar, which can be found in the redesigned login screen of your client and in the news section of our website, informs you on currently active and upcoming events in Tibia.
Additionally, we have reworked the character selection screen, which now provides more information, like the level and vocation of each character as well as the character's current outfit.
Last but not least, some of the new items (valuables) were added to the loot of the secret library bosses, which should make beating them more profitable.

The Festive Fireplace and the Festive Rocking Chair are a perfect combination to warm up your cold feet after an extensive hunt in the snow while a Festive Tree is glowing in full pride and a Festive Pyramid is slowly spinning around in the background.
A fully laid Festive Table with all kinds of tasty delicacies will make your mouth start watering while childhood dreams come true with a Festive Pile of Presents. Even Santa will go green with envy when he sees the massive Festive Sack of Presents in your house and the stylish Festive Sleigh in your backyard.
  
When bought, these items are directly delivered to you as decoration kits, which can be unwrapped inside your house. The unwrapped decoration items are non-takeable and also indestructible.

A weekend during which all monsters will resurrect from their graves at an enormous speed is ahead, fellow Tibians. Rumours have it that the winter update might be released a couple of days before the event, which makes it a perfect opportunity to unlock some of the new Bestiary entries!
Do not forget to donate enough gold for your favourite hunting ground to take full advantage of the event!
Between the server saves of December 07 and December 10, all monsters will respawn five times faster. Areas with an active improved respawn area bonus yield an even faster respawn time. Save the date!

Due to extensive maintenance work on our payment services, there will be a prolonged downtime on Tuesday November 20.
Because of the longlasting maintenance work, the server save will exceptionally take place at 08:00 CET on this day. All game worlds will remain offline until approximately 15:30 CET and then come back online successively.
When everything is up and running and players are able to log in again, we plan to implement final configuration adjustments at around 17:00 CET, which will require another short downtime of all game worlds for approximately 20 minutes. Afterwards, all systems should be back to normal.
The website will not be available between 08:30 until 15:00 CET. Please keep in mind that game worlds might occasionally be displayed as online due to several necessary restarts.
Furthermore, the provided time dates are subject to change depending on the maintenance progression and unexpected events that might come up.
