Double Loot & Rapid Respawn Weekend  Yesterday, a longer downtime was necessary to address a critical issue related to the new item upgrade system. We understand that this caused disappointment and frustration. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the trouble and for making you wait.
To make amends, we have decided to spice up the upcoming double loot event between the server saves of December 03 and December 06 by adding Rapid Respawn on top of it. So you will not only have the chance to collect double the amount of loot but also all monsters will respawn five times faster. Areas with an active improved respawn area bonus yield an even faster respawn time.
 This combination will also come in handy for those of you who want to farm resources which are needed for upgrading items via the Exaltation Forge.

Th  e winter update of 2021 has been released! Next to other features which we have showcased before, this update brings you the brand-new Exaltation Forge. While we previously talked about how to get the necessary resources to use it, how the forge itself works has been shrouded in mystery – until now.
The Exaltation Forge offers players a way to upgrade weapons, armour, and helmets. Items can be increased in tiers, with the maximum number of tiers for an item being limited by its classification into one of four groups.
There are two ways to rank up an item to a higher tier. The first one requires two of the same items to be fused, in addition to a sum of gold (higher tiers demand higher prices), and 100 dust. Success of a fusion is not guaranteed – there is a possibility that the second item will be either reduced by one tier, or, in case it was a tier 0 item, it will be destroyed. Using exalted cores, the success of the operation can be increased, however, and the risk of losing a tier gets reduced, should the fusion fail.
The other way to increase an item's tier is by transferring a tier from another item of the same class. The target item, which is to receive the tier, has to be tier 0, while the source item, from which the tier is transferred, has to be at least tier 2. This process requires 100 dust, one exalted core, and a sum of gold. The transfer is guaranteed to succeed. The target item receives the source item's tier by a reduction of one tier, while the source item itself will be destroyed during the transfer.
Upgrading an item this way provides it with the new effects Onslaught (for weapons), Ruse (for armours), and Momentum (for helmets). A higher tier increases the trigger chance of these effects.
Since the introduction of the Exaltation Forge may have a noticeable impact on item prices, we have decided to cancel all market offers of weapons, armours, and helmets, so that sellers can re-evaluate the price they want to sell at. The market fee for these offers has been refunded. The price limit for a market listing has also been raised from 999,999,999 to 999,999,999,999.

 New decorative items are now available in the Store. Do you hear the call of the sea and feel the urge to follow it? Have you ever dreamt of dwelling in the dark depths of the endless blue, and rather than experiencing horror, felt a serene tranquillity? Then you might want to decorate your home with the Kraken Furniture, which includes the Kraken Chair, Kraken Table, Kraken Cabinet, and Kraken Chest, to give your abode a maritime look.
 The Kraken  Watcher Lamp has two big, bright eyes which illuminate its surroundings and keep watch on your guests – just in case.
 Strong tentacles,  which seemingly come out of nowhere, provide a stable structure for the Kraken Tentacle Lamp.
 While it may seem really cluttered in one moment, it takes only another moment to  clean up the Kraken Shelf.
 The Kraken Bed provides deep, silent sleep, as if you were at the bottom of the ocean.
 An Octoputz is a diligent little helper who does their very best to keep your rooms neat and t  idy.
 Have you been inspired by the hardworking n  ature of your octopian friend? Then placing a Sculpture of an Octoputz in your home might be in order.
When bought, these items are directly delivered to you as decoration kits, which can be unwrapped inside your house. The unwrapped decoration items are non-takeable and also indestructible.

Target Highlight, Analyser Extension, and more Next to the Exaltation Forge, the winter update will bring you a number of other features as well:
Are you wondering how big an impact your current XP bonuses actually have on your hunt? To remove any guesswork and manual calculation in such a case, the XP Analyser and Hunt Analyser will receive entries for "Raw XP Gain" and "Raw XP/h". These show the XP gain and XP/h without any added bonuses such as stamina, prey, XP boosts, etc. This additional info can be toggled on and off via a new option in the analysers' settings.
Is it getting a bit too crowded at times on screen for you to see your current target? To add visual clarity, a red overlay will be added as indication, in addition to the already existing red frame. The options menu provides settings for using either only the new highlight, the old frame, or both at the same time.
 Are silver and gold tokens piling up in your depot, with too few ways to spend them? Then you might be interested in a new majestic outfit, which costs a pretty penny: The Royal Costume will be available from Percybald in Carlin and Alyxo in Issavi, for the proud sum of 15,000 silver tokens and 12,500 gold tokens for the base outfit, and 7,500 silver tokens and 6,250 gold tokens for each addon. Like purchasing the Golden Outfit, this will secure you a spot on the memorial, and, for the full outfit, you receive a title as well. To allow such huge sums to be carried, the weight of silver and gold tokens has been reduced from 0.20 oz to 0.01 oz.
 Do you have a wealth of mounts to ride, but are using only a small amount of them as switching between them seems like too much work? In this case, the new option "Randomise Mount" in the "Customise Character" outfit will come in handy. By ticking this checkbox, one of your mounts will be randomly selected once you mount. In general, if a character was mounted before a transformation, they will now be remounted automatically after the transformation, if mounting is possible.

The upcoming winter update will introduce the Exaltation Forge, a way to gain access to new powerful effects. In order to make use of this system, players need new resources.
The first one is dust. In order to get dust, which is non-tradeable, players have to kill influenced monsters. These creatures have a low chance to spawn in place of a regular monster and are stronger versions of regular monsters. They can carry one to five stacks which gives them increased damage and maximum health – the more they have, the stronger they are, and the higher the potential to yield more dust. How many stacks a creature has is indicated below their name in the game window. While a player can only carry 100 dust at first, this limit can be increased to a maximum of 225 by spending dust.

In addition to influenced monsters, there are also fiendish monsters. These are even stronger creatures, which do however also give more dust, as well as a new tradable resource called slivers. Fiendish monsters are considerably rarer than influenced monsters. A new spell, Find Fiend, will be introduced, which indicates the direction of the nearest fiendish creature. At the Exaltation Forge, dust can be converted into slivers, and slivers can be converted into exalted cores.

 The nights are getting darker and darker! It is up to you to brighten the sky or evil forces will break through to our world. Team up with your comrades and show the darkness what you are made of!
From server save November 11 until server save November 15, ten fire basins need to be kept burning to dispel the lingering gloom. But watch out: if a single light goes out, your world has failed!
If you are interested in helping, you may want to visit Lucius in Yalahar once the event has started. Also, some of our supported and promoted fansites provide detailed guides with useful information about this event so pay them a visit. It is also a good idea to check your world board to see if other players have already started with preparations for the Lightbearer.
