Once again it is that time of the year when dragon mothers hatch their eggs to send out their dangerous breed to set the Tibian lands on fire.
From today's server save on until April 23 (server save), almost every dragon lair will be filled with newborn dragon hatchlings.
Sharpen your blades! Sharpen your shiver arrows! Get your avalanche and icicle runes! Show them that Tibians are not afraid of fire, but beware: more hatchlings will follow and get out of their eggs until the dragon breeding season is over again! As a reward for your bravery, every dragon hatchling will yield 25% more experience.
In addition, five surprise nests are hidden in most of the Tibian cities and with some luck, you might find something nice in them. Furthermore, rabbits, chickens, and silver rabbits are dropping colourful eggs. During this event, you can also buy them from Imalas, Maria, and Bonifacius.
Get ready!

A new outfit has been added to the Store today!
Where others not dare to tread due to the biting cold and freezing winds, the Nordic Chieftain feels right at home. Braving the harsh conditions is possible due to a protective layer of warm clothing, as well as suitable armament to fend off any hostile wildlife. The helmet's massive horns are a tad heavy and unwieldy, but show the chieftain's status.
Once bought, your character can wear this outfit anytime. The outfit is purely cosmetic and does not bestow any benefits.
Brave the cold!

Sign-Up for ASCENSION Has Started
Tibians, the time has come to bid farewell to Tournaments! After more than two years, the final Tournament ASCENSION will mark the end of an adventure which brought us valuable experiences and insights.
This is your last chance to get hold of Tournament Coins so sign up for ASCENSION now! It will reward you with twice as many Tournament Coins as before the sunset.
A ticket for your Tournament character is necessary to participate.
In ASCENSION, your XP and skills will progress much faster than on normal game worlds. Also, skill gain, Bestiary and area discovery will yield points. Make sure to read the rule and score set thoroughly. Killing certain creatures such as stonerefiners, cobra assassins and gazer spectres, just to name a few, will cost you a hefty sum this time: 50 points per creature will be substracted from your score. In addition, s hared experience will be deactivated.
Keep in mind, that your playtime is always ticking down whenever you are online on your Tournament world. Once your daily playtime is depleted, you will be logged out of the Tournament and you can only log in again after the next server save. Once your total playtime is depleted, you will no longer be able to log in on the Tournament world. Please also note that if you log into a Tournament world and log out again before 120 seconds have passed, a total of 120 seconds will still be subtracted from your playtime.
All Tournament characters start with level 20, basic skills, and 20,000 gold on their bank account.
The golden warlord sword will be awarded to the winners.
The cups will go to the top 3 of each Tournament world.
Check out the Tournament page to find details about rules, score set and rewards for ASCENSION. The Tournament itself will run from A pril 06, 10:00 CEST, to April 13, 10:00 CEST.
Upon sign-up, you can select your Tournament world, your vocation and city to start in. More information can also be found in the Tournament FAQ entries.
When we announced the sunset of Tournaments last year, we already informed you about our rough plans in regards to Tournament rewards. Here is a recap with an updated approximate time horizon:
- Tournament Coins will be removed from the game at an unspecified point of time in the future. Any Tournament Coins that have not been used by then will disappear. At the earliest, this will happen six months after the final Tournament, at the end of 2022, but it may also happen at a later point of time. Rest assured that we will announce this date in advance as soon as it has been determined.
- After Tournament Coins have ceased to exist, rewards that are currently available for Tournament Coins in the Store will become purchasable by other means, e.g. Tibia Coins. This will not be the case for the dragon slayer outfit, though.
- Outfits and mounts bought by other means will only be usable by the purchasing character, they will not be unlocked account-wide for all characters like their Tournament versions.
- The remarkable dragon slayer outfit not only costs a large sum of Tournament Coins but also requires a player to achieve a top 3 rank in a Tournament. We aim to preserve its extraordinary status as best as possible but we also do not want to make the outfit completely unobtainable with the end of Tournaments. Therefore, at some point in the future, at the earliest in 2023, we will implement a demanding way to earn it ingame: The specifics have not been determined yet, but we can already say that it will only be obtainable through investing an enormous amount of time, dedication and effort, possibly in the context of special events or boss fights.
- The ingame version of the dragon slayer outfit will only be wearable by the character which unlocked it. The Tournament version will remain special in that regard so only players who obtained the outfit through Tournaments can use it account-wide for all of their characters.
Let's send off Tournaments with a bang!
Your Community Managers
Dear Tibians,
after almost three years, it is time for me to say goodbye to you in my role as community manager. It has certainly been an eventful journey.
Thinking back on the last years, it is not difficult to find memorable occasions and notable developments which moved the Tibian community – with us community managers being right in the middle of it all. We have received a lot of feedback during this time, about new features, balancing and vocation adjustments, the Char Bazaar, and many other changes which have been implemented. While we could not accommodate everyone's wishes in regards to these, we constantly tried to have an open ear for the community and bring players' voices into internal discussions – maybe not always with the same heated rhetoric, but with the message still intact. Thank you again for all the constructive criticism and helpful input we have received, and keep up your passion for Tibia, it is hard to imagine the game without it!
One or two of you might be wondering what I am up to now. Will I be seeking new shores elsewhere?
Not quite. Or rather, the shores I am heading to are not completely new. Just like Burchan before me, I will take on another role here at CipSoft from April on. However, it is not one related to Tibia, but instead a new project which is yet to be revealed – which is why unfortunately I cannot disclose more information about it, something that I am sure is a familiar tune to some of you. A CM to the last...
With me gone, you will once again be in the very experienced and capable hands of Mirade and Rejana. It has been great working with them, and I wish both of them all the best.
I will follow the developments of Tibia closely, and I am looking forward to what lies ahead – and I hope, so will you. Thank you for being there for Tibia!
Yours,
Skeriov
Hear ye! Hear ye! An icy bridge reaches toward an isle of frost and hidden fire, with cold-hearted monsters grim and dire.
A cold storm is coming from the north. The howling wind whispers stories of an old and forgotten frozen island. What was once a lush and beautiful paradise is now an everlasting ice desert dominated by various kinds of monsters. Deep down inside the isle and locked in ice, a once so proud race – the ursagrodon – is sleeping and vigilantly waiting to be freed again...
From April 01 on until May 01, the island Chyllfroest will be accessible once again for all Premium players. West of Svargrond, an icy bridge has formed. This bridge makes it possible to access this special island. You will find different dungeons with various creatures for different level ranges there.
If you are exploring Chyllfroest deeper, you might also find one of the famous frozen ursagrodons which can be thawed and tamed with some luck.
But beware: Rumour has it that yetis have been seen on this island before, too.
Enjoy spring, froest is coming...

New Optional PvP Game Worlds
Fellow Tibians, new game worlds are about to be launched! On Wednesday, March 23, we plan to set up three new Optional PvP game worlds:
Nadora (EU), Esmera (NA), and Issobra (SA)
These worlds will be protected by BattlEye and will be blocked for character world transfers for a significant amount of time. Please note though that depending on how their populations evolve, it may still be possible that these worlds will be opened for transfers or even be merged with other worlds at some point of time.
Initially, only Premium accounts will be able to play on these game worlds.
To new adventures,
