Exiva Restrictions for Optional PvP Game Worlds

obrazekIn August, we had asked for your opinion on restricting the use of exiva on Optional PvP game worlds in a Dev Notewarning. Your feedback then was mostly positive, so we have now implemented such a feature, and plan to release it on November 21!
  • After the release, you can open this new dialog via a new icon above the chat console on all Optional PvP game worlds to specify who can use exiva on your character.
  • Pre-defined groups you can choose from are: guild members, party members, and all characters from your VIP list.
  • Instead of single groups, you can select: "Everybody is allowed to use exiva." You can even define a hotkey to toggle between your previous settings and this entry.
In addition to this, there are two whitelists: One for guild names, and another one, to which you can add single character names. For convenience, you can also add names to this list via the context menu directly on your VIP list. Whitelist entries dominate over other settings.

Please note, if your guild participates in a guild war, all members of your guild, as well as the enemy guild will be able to use exiva on your character, regardless of your settings.

We are going to add a great new feature to the Cyclopedia.

While the Cyclopedia already contains profound information about many items in Tibia, you will now be able to look up helpful information about Tibian creatures as well.

Gather enough information about a creature and you will be able to unlock the possibility to use a special bonus against the creature. But let us start with the Bestiary first.


The Bestiary is a new addon for the Cyclopedia. In here, Tibian creatures are going to be sorted in different creature classes.
Initially, every creature and the creature class itself will be displayed as silhouettes. Gain information about creatures and thereby unlock and complete their Bestiary entries!

obrazekTo unlock an entry, you will have to kill its corresponding creature. The first kill will open the entry and reveal the creature's name, sprite and its difficultywarning level. A kill counter will show you the required amount of kills to unlock more information.

To successfully complete a creature entry, you will have to unlock a total of three detail stages.
The first stage will unlock basic information like hitpoints, speed, armour and common loot items, for example.
The second stage will allow you to see uncommon loot items, resistances and locations of where the creature can be found.
Once you have killed enough creatures to unlock the final stage, semi-rare and rare loot items will be displayed.

How often you have to kill a creature to unlock more of its details is based on the creature's difficulty. The difficulty also determines the amount of Charm Points that you are going to receive once you have completed an entry.


Charms are offensive, defensive or passive bonus effects that need to be unlocked with Charm Points. An unlocked charm can only be assigned to a completed creature entry and will provide you with a bonus against the corresponding creature.

While assigning a charm to an entry is free of charge, you will have to pay a gold fee if you want to detach the charm from the entry again. The required amount of gold depends on your character's level.

Keep in mind that a creature entry can only have one charm assigned at a time. There is a total of 16 different charms available. A detailed list of all charms, their effects and their costs can be found herewarning. Free account players can assign up to 2 charms to different entries at the same time, while premium account players can assign 6 charms.

A permanent possibility to assign all of your unlocked charms at the same time can be purchased via the Store. It also reduces the amount of gold you have to pay for every charm removal by 25%.
Double XP and Double Skill Weekend

Great danger is looming ahead! To make sure that you are well prepared and strong enough to face the new challenges of this year's winter update, a double XP and double skill weekend is coming! Toughen your body and mind or you will stand no chance against the cruel intensions of those below!

Between the server saves of November 03 and November 06, all monsters will yield twice the usual amount of experience points, and your skill training, including magic level, will advance twice as fast. The skill progress when training offline will also be doubled.

Quick Looting & Container Position Saving

This year's winter update includes some brand new features for the Tibia 11 client.

Let us start with the Quick Looting feature.

The quick looting feature allows you to set up a customisable inventory structure, which is going to help you to automatically sort your loot during your hunting sessions.
Furthermore, the quick looting feature modernises the existing looting process and allows faster and more effective looting.

obrazekBesides the actual quick looting mechanism, we have implemented a possibility to manage your loot containers which can be accessed via the Cyclopedia, a configurable hotkey or the context menu of a container.

In there, you can select a loot container of your choice and assign it to different categories like default, gold, creature products, rings or weapons. You can also assign multiple categories to the same loot container.

The selected loot containers receive a small icon on their bottom right side, which will display the assigned categories if you hover your mouse over it.

Once you have set up your loot containers, all items that you loot via the quick loot feature are going to be automatically sorted into these loot containers. Items that belong to unassigned categories are going to be sent to the default container.

There are two different types of Quick Looting:

The Loot All function allows you to move the entire loot from a monster corpse into your own inventory with a single left click on the corpse. The second possibility is to Loot Click within a monster body. In this case, a specific item is moved from the monster corpse into your own inventory by a single left click on the designated item.

Container Position Saving

The client is now able to remember the position of your opened backpacks and windows in the sidebars. If you log out or close the client and log in again, all of your opened sidebar windows are going to be restored to the same position and size.

Please keep in mind that if you log in from another computer with different sidebar settings, lower display resolution etc. the position and number of opened windows might vary.

We have prepared a small FAQwarning to provide you with additional information concerning those two new features.
Discontinuation of Tibia 10 and Flash Client

As of tomorrow's server save, it will no longer be possible to log in and play via the Tibia 10 client. We already announced this step earlier this yearwarning, when we marked the client as outdated.

The Tibia Flash client will also be discontinued tomorrow. So it cannot be used to log in and play on Zuna and Zunera. As you probably know, it is already impossible to play with the Flash client on game worlds that are actively shielded by BattlEye.

This means that as of tomorrow, there is one single client for all players:

the Tibia 11 stand-alone client which you can download herewarning.

We have been working towards this goal for a long time. Your input and suggestions on the way have helped us tremendously in improving the client and adding cool new features. So a big thank you for your support and your continued efforts to provide us with constructive feedback. Together, we made this happen!

The dedicated feedback boardwarning for Tibia 11 will remain open for the time being. If you experience issues that are clearly related to the Tibia 11 client and prevent you from playing smoothly, you are welcome to use that board to provide us with further details.

Of course, we will continue to optimise the client and add more features to enhance your Tibia experience further.

Breakthrough in Imbuement Research
The theory of umbral weapons being incompatible with imbuements has been partially disproven. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and brain examinations on captured twisted shapers, scientists achieved a breakthrough in imbuing research. 

"The prevailing opinion was convinced that the great power that runs through umbral weapons was a strong antipole to the immense magic of imbuements and that they were repelling each other. However, we noticed in our tests that certain compositions remained fused with each other longer than others, which made us conduct further studies." said Ignaz P. from the Imbuement Research Academy.

"Generally speaking, we are quite sure that it is only possible to combine basic imbuements with umbral weapons. The quality of umbral weapons also plays an important role. Crude umbrals are, as the name suggests, too raw, too underdeveloped for any form of imbuement. 
Regular umbral weapons are already sturdy enough to hold a single imbuement slot. 
The outstanding quality of master umbrals allowed us to apply multiple slots. Depending on the type of weapon, we were able to equip up to 3 slots without causing an internal meltdown."

The head of the Academy, James B., also shared some good news with us: "We found evidence pointing to the existence of a new type of imbuement. An imbuement that has the power to enhance your capacity when being applied to your equipped backpack. Its powerful form is still unknown to us since a deadly monster slaughtered every research team we have sent so far."

Challenger: Your equipped backpack? What do you mean by that? Everybody knows that you can only imbue unequipped items.

James B: "That is another improvement we were able to achieve. You can now also imbue your equipped items, which is for sure a nice quality of life feature."

Challenger: Speaking of quality of life! Any comment on former chargeable weapons?

James B: "Well, it does not really make sense to have three different types any longer. We were able to create a new kind of weapon, which is going to unite all three types, the weapon of destruction. Rather sooner than later, we will have all the old types replaced with the new one."

Negotiations with Grizzly Adams progressing well
After years of negotiations, a small sensation seems to be in the offing. Today, the negotiators gave the Challenger exclusive insight into their progress to date and it seems that Grizzly Adams is willing to rethink the conditions for joining the Paw and Fur - Hunting Elite. 
Already starting with the dawn of winter, it should be possible for potential candidates to pass the necessary examinations also known as "Killing in the name of" in teams. It is therefore sufficient to have participated in the killing of a monster to increase its kill counter
Whether the sudden agreement is connected with the increasing protests of the group "United Tibians for the protection of indigenous monster species" is so far unknown.
